At Shorelands, our work supporting native species sits alongside sustainable farming practices, with the aim of creating a balanced environment where wildlife and the rural farming heritage of Norfolk and Suffolk can continue to thrive together.

-Entry and All Activities are Free of Charge

Come along to our open day to find out more about our conservation work in the Waveney Valley and meet our traditional farm animals that we use to manage our meadows.

You’ll be able to meet Suffolk Punch horses, Norfolk Horn and Grey-faced Dartmoor sheep, Bagot Goats, Miniature Donkeys and rare breed poultry.

The team from BBC Radio Norfolk will be doing an outside broadcast from the event between 10am and 2pm, including there Gardeners Question time from 11am to 1pm. Bring along your gardening questions and have the panel answer them for you.

There will also be a selection of plants available for sale grown on our nursery.

Our conservation partners from the Broads Authority and Waveney Bird Club will also be attending. The Broads Authority will be doing pond dipping throughout the day for visitors to get involved with. Waveney Bird Club will be doing bird ringing demonstrations from 10 to 12 (weather permitting).

Diss U15s Rugby Team will be running our refreshment stand in order to raise money for their youth team. Visitors are welcome to bring along a picnic to enjoy on St Clements Common
